"Had the worst experience booking via Expedia, did not even manage to stay at the hotel, as Expedia had linked the wrong address via google maps on their platform. This was extremely misleading for non-China tourists like myself. "I had good experience with this hotel several weeks ago. Friendly staff, good food at its restaurant. I strongly recommend their restaurant for its tasty, authentic local food. Decent location for getting to Huangshan Mountain, but expensive if taking taxis (~$30 each way). Make sure to book return train ticket to Shanghai in advance, they fill up!"

"Best hotel in China we have stayed! The room is spacious, well designed, staff really friendly. One of the staff picked us up on the day from the nearby attraction while it was raining and gave us a hot water bag to keep us warm. "They were especially attentive. Whenever we needed help, they would get someone who spoke English to come help us. The food in the restaurant was especially good. The only downside was that the AC did not work in our room. I found that to be the norm in China. Before unpacking in a new room at any hotel in China, I recommend always double checking the AC to verify it is functioning."
