"The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. Plus, the prices were reasonable - we would have easily paid twice as much at home for a meal of the same caliber. You also shouldn't miss a late afternoon cocktail on the rooftop!"

"The property was beautiful. The staff was accomodating, friendly, and responsive. The restaurant was lovely and ornately adorned, the rooftop seating area was gorgeous, and the food and drinks were wonderful. I felt safe since you had to be buzzed in and out of the property. "The suite is nearly as big as my house. It's beautifully furnished, in a relatively quiet area and the staff is excellent. There was a stocked refrigerator and kitchen. We were able to cook great breakfasts. There are plenty of choices if you prefer not to cook, as well. They provided 6 liter bottles of water daily! This is an absolute must when visiting the equator. Old Town was easily reached on foot or by taxi. "
