"Great lottle hotel in a great location to move around the city - great pu lic transport links. However the area does not inspire confidence and we sonetimes did not feel entirely safe. Huge pity."

"11:20PM incredibly loud Indian wedding directly beneath us was very disturbing. No coffee maker, crappy instant coffee. No robes or slippers. Old worn-out furniture was in severe need of refinishing. Excellent location."

"Lovely hotel on the edge of Mechelen. Shame about the building work opposite which has been going on over a year and looks like it will not be finished anytime soon. Parking is in the nearby multi-storey. Walking distance from town, many places to eat. "

"This is a great hotel ideally located for a longer visit and walk into the city. Our bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever had in a hotel. Although a long drive from Lincoln may have helped our sleep. The shower was excellent in terms of heat and power but the dated above bath holder and curtain let it down. It was too high and was best hand held or angered on the stability bar. That was a pity as otherise this was a nice hotel with great free parking. "

"We stayed for 6 nights at Hotel Ve in Mechelen. Our hotel room was a great size with a large shower and seperate toilet. The hotel is really well situated on in the middle of the old town and you can walk everywhere, which is great. We had breakfast included and this was a really good way to start the day. We particularly liked having a fresh omelet cooked each day. Overall the hotel was a great experience"

"The line for a drink at the bar was 20 people deep, so no wine for me last night. The bedroom was to hot, turned the A/C on and it was to loud so could not sleep. I could hear people walking around upstairs. Whilst the hotel can not be blamed for the rain hitting the windows, they could have the trees cut back to atop the branches hitting the windows in the wind. "
