"Hotel was spotless, really clean, comfortable and a cosy warm bedroom. Breakfast was delicious, and staff were all very friendly and polite. Nice walk into town, however bit of a hike back, as it’s all up hill. Didn’t put us off, and would definitely recommend and book again"

"Bearing ion mind that is a 2 star hotel and exceptionally well priced, I would say my stay was closer to 3 stars than 2. The lift was not working on arrival and I had to climb to the 3rd floor with my suitcase and backpack. I have a major health issue and this was tough. The hotel is generally run down and shabby, but the staff are pleasant and the breakfast was excellent. Housekeeping was quite poor and only the bare minimum was done. "Still the best of the Days Inn on the M6/M74 that we have stayed in. Apart from the up-to-date condition, there are TWO chairs and a CEILING light which both add hugely to the enjoyment of our stay. Dim hotel rooms are unfortunately so common these days, so thank you Days Inn Gretna for bucking the trend! An added bonus is the wider range of facilities available in the adjacent service area"
