"I cannot recommend the Highland Bear Lodge highly enough. What a stunning location and place to stay. Everything was absolutely lovely and very unique. We stayed in the Prince Charlie room and it was absolutely gorgeous. I have never stayed anywhere with an in room breakfast provision, but it worked so well and we really enjoyed it. "We were on a long drive home from the North Coast to Edinburgh and decided late to give up and spend the night in Aviemore. This was perfect, lovely hotel, great service, excellent filling breakfast included. And perfect location for heading up to the Cairngorm Mountain Railway the next day. "

It was a convenient place to walk to various places, like Leakey’s Bookshop (right behind the hotel) and Greigg’s Bridge to get a good view of Inverness.
