"We stayed for three nights at the tail end of a trip around the Pelopennese. Everything was great. The bay it overlooks is beautiful. The room was clean and well put together. And the pool/bar/food scenes are all very good and no problems at all (not spectacular, but all well done). Finally, the staff were really approachable and had some excellent ideas on places to go in Mani that weren't showing up in my guide book and google searches. I have no hesitation recommending people go here. "

"If you're under the age of 40 stay somewhere down the road in the main town of Gytheio!! My boyfriend and I (age 30 and 29) felt way too young and energetic for this sleepy hotel. Upon arrival, there were two stains on the outdated, cheap hotel which is not up to standard for a hotel listed as 4 stars. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. They used our balcony as a storage unit for towels and sheets which we found rude. Although we booked the cheapest room, this is not acceptable. Misleading...

"There was no one available to check me in. When someone came, they had "forgotten" about my reservation and then asked me if it was only one night. Acted bothered when I said it was 3 nights booked months prior. The fridge in the room was off and hot. No iron, not even a kettle for tea or coffee. They said I was the only one in the "castle" so I wondered in the kitchen and the OPENED rooms looking for a kettle only to realized I was NOT alone.
