"Hard to access parking, but plenty of room once in. Friendly receptionist, nice room, comfy bed. We worried it would be noisy as the room faced the street, and was noisy all day, but was quiet while sleeping. Breakfast was good, we ate dinner elsewhere so can't comment. Easy walk to see all of Shrewsbury. A few minor annoyances: 1. Walking around the room made the hangers in the wardrobe rattle, due to loose floorboards maybe, - we had to take them out. 2. "The main house with the pub and restaurant is beautiful. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The lodges are lovely but are up a dirt track that is not brilliant in the bad weather. You cannot leave your car near the lodge either and so walking up and down to the car park and restaurant is a challenge on the mud track and there is no lighting either. The main building does not open until 8:30 am so staying here on business trips is not feasible either. Food was delicious and service excellent. "

"Our visit to Mellington Hall Country House Hotel was fantastic. The property is amazing, the staff were really attentive and amazing also. The food was superb and the service throughout was exceptional. After the meal we sat in the lovely building which has quiet rooms or an open fire. We went just before Christmas and so the property was probably quieter than during the summer months, but we definitely would return to enjoy walking in the surrounding countryside.
