"I had a wonderful weekend in Lucca and I was very happy with San Luca Palace. I work online and for me the quality of wifi is the top importance and unfortunately quite often although the hotel website indicates they have wifi the quality would be very poor and I would not be able to do my work properly and would get anxious about it. Wifi was working very well, staff was helpful and the room was spacious. I look forward to being back to Lucca and staying in San Luca Palace. Thank you! "

However, the breakfast area staff was noisy, talking to one another loudly and nonstop, not allowing customers to have a comfortable breakfast. The same applies to the room cleaning staff. "Bed was very hard. I did ask for a mattress topper but it was so thin that it made no difference. Paper cups in the room were disappointing. Would have expected proper cups given that we had tea and coffee making facilities. Glasses for water were also plastic. Tea and coffee were not replenished each day. Nor was the water. Only allowed for one day of your stay! The balcony was different to the photo and also close to a busy road so not relaxing. The breakfast was good with plenty of variety....
