"Clean rooms , comfortable, could do with small fridge and bottled water. Candle pots in the dining room need cleaning on every table and when asked for gin ina gin glass was told it wasn’t possible by dining room staff! Meals in the restaurant were excellent "

"The reason why I rated eco-friendliness only 3 is that I could not switch off the heating. I had to open the window with the heating on to have a comfortable sleeping temperature."

"We always enjoy our stay at the Lawns when we come to Retford to visit family and friends. The rooms are much bigger than average and there is plenty of wardrobe space. Lovely big towels and a good supply of hot drinks and bottled water.Extremely good value."

"Beautiful historic house set in peaceful countryside. The owners and staff were very friendly and attentive. We also booked the Sunday lunch which was delicious and spent the evening sitting by a log fire in a snug room with a cheeseboard and bottle of wine. Our bedroom was stunning. We only had an overnight stay but would love to go back for a longer stay one day."
