"Room was fairly basic, but clean. Everything (outlets, fridge, TV etc.) worked. Breakfast was great. Pool and garden very peaceful. One annoyance: hall lights are on a timer that turns off before I could reach my room. Altogether very nice. I’ll likely return the next time I travel to Meknes."

"We had high expectations of our stay at the chateau. Unfortunately we were not allowed to check in. The reservation, which I had prepaid, was not honored. We were told by the reception people they don’t work with Expedia/hofels.com. And therefore cannot let us in. This has never happened to me before. Such a big property and they kick us if? "Was hassled by their in-house tout to do an expensive guided tour before we even stepped foot inside. Outside door is locked at all times and we had to ask them to open the door each time we wanted to get something from our car. They tried to charge us for parking (it was supposed to be free). They said we could not eat outside food - only eat in their over-priced 'restaurant'. Ad on Hotels.com said there was 4 bars/restaurants (making it sound like a resort). Total fabrication.
