We had a GPS in the car to help find the hotel. Not easy to find street names. Check in and out is not at the hotel so make sure you are able to call Avora management at their number. Positive first- The island is beautiful. The views are spectacular. Breakfast is good. Boat to Rovinj is regular and on time. Negative - 1. Accessibility is poor. Lift doesn't stop at the lobby. 2. Rooms are large and clean - but old. Peeling paint, broken fittings and 1980's furnishings all show...

"The hotel is an early 20th century building (I think) with the style of the belle epoch and our room had wonderful high ceilings and tall windows with a balcony overlooking the bay. There was a good sized desk and fridge, but no kettle. Wifi was good and the first time in Croatia we were actually able to connect reliably. There were no plug sockets by the bed which was a minor irritation. Breakfast was wonderful with happy staff and a great selection of food. It was lovely to sit on the...

"We had a fabulous stay here in late September and were really happy, overall, especially for the price. Grocery store nearby, easy walking distance to the Arena and Old Town. Jelena, the host, was fantastic. Very kind and accommodating with a different, local breakfast each morning. Really appreciated the clothes washing machine in the room. AC worked well. Parking not as easy as I hoped but we got it done. Would definitely recommend and stay again."
