"The Academy is our favorite hotel in Colorado Springs! It is an older hotel but feels familiar and like home. My husband loves the made-to-order omelet breakfast. There have been some upgrades to the rooms, my favorite is the hand-held shower and the unique bathroom sink. Everyone is friendly from the desk staff to housekeeping to the breakfast crew. "

"The room was spacious and clean, conveniently located in downtown Colorado Springs. Everything is within walking distance, with many restaurants just outside the hotel. The only downside is the parking situation; the hotel doesn’t have its own garage, so you’ll need to park on the street and pay the meter or opt for valet service, which incurs an extra fee. Overall, I still recommend it if you're looking for a place to stay in downtown."

"Great place but good luck trying to get someone on the phone to ask questions before check-in. Wonderful desk clerk and restaurant personnel. Cleaning staff knocked on my door at 9 AM even though I had the Do Not Disturb sign out. Then she didn't know English so I had to use rusty Spanish!"
