"I doubt Hermannplatz is a big tourist destination - it's a very mixed area - but I was here to visit an old friend nearby, who recommended Hotel L van B, and it is an absolute find. Staff delightful. Rooms spacious, clean, comfortable. The breakfast is one of the best I've ever had in any hotel. Right next door are ATM, mini-supermarket, a nice Italian restaurant... and a Hindu temple to Ganesh! Warmly recommended, I' shall be back."

"The overall experience was positive and i'd stay there again. Location is great, close to U (metro), with restaurants and bars close-by. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Only negative notes: no mini-bar, not enough irons especially during ITB when you know you shall have such requests, and the housekeeping where making the room is barely about placing the blanket and changing floor towel."
