"Wonderful stay here while visiting the Zulu war sites in the area with Doug and his colleagues. This is a beautiful, modern property which is truly luxurious. I stayed in a huge lodge room with an incredible view from the balcony over the local area. An even better view comes from the library which looks down onto the Buffalo river and across towards fugitive's trail. There is also a small museum on site with a lot of information. Meals are served in the dining area, lounge or veranda...

"A delightful small lodge with excellent accommodation and communal areas. Very friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable guides. Having a water hole immediately in front attracts many species. Would certainly stay here again."

"We stayed here for 2 nights in July and absolutely loved every minute of it. We stayed at the presidential suite, which has a jacuzzi on the deck and indoor and outdoor shower plus indoor bathtub (relaxation to the max). What really makes this place so wonderful is the service and attention to detail. The staff are so happy, helpful and friendly, they all even learn our name. "Magda is so friendly and helpful and really makes your stay a wonderful experience. The food was lovely and the garden is quirky. Her very first car which is really old is full of flowers in the garden. There is an old bike and lots of signs scattered about. "

"A must see! I highly recommend that you come and stay here. The views from our room across the valley were jaw-droppingly beautiful. Our chalet was very spacious and decorated to a high standard. Kitchen had everything you need for self catering. The property was clean and tidy throughout. The team was super friendly and helpful and made us feel very much at home. The tour of the battle sites was informative and really transported us back in time for a slice of Anglo-Zulu history. "

I called the day before to advise that I may be late in checking in. The response was aggressively that they knock off at 9pm, not offering any alternatives to that.
