"The hotel has an amazing vintage architecture. The building is amazing however it needs a some tlc. The reception ladies are great, they made me feel welcomed specially that it was my first time in Durban. The security guards was really good, very welcoming as well. I had a wonderful stay at the hotel with a nice sea view and it's very quiet, you get to relax.Just wish they could just could take case of the building outside, it really need some work. "

"This hotel is located just across the street from the beach, which was great. My room was not sea facing, but I still had a bit of a sea view from the side. The street does get busy with a lot of car traffic & people so you have to be aware of your surroundings & your belongings, esp. when walking around. "Very noisy throughout our stay. Doors banging , furniture moving around in units above , people speaking loudly made it difficult to fall asleep , running up and down the stairs. Unit was clean and spacious but the bed linen needs to be replaced..very old. Hats off to the staff member who checked our unit on departure...I left behind a few pieces of jewelry and she was honest enough to hand it over to me. Scenery excellent. "
