"I was pleasantly surprised during our last visit to the Hotel. We used it as a halfway stop on the way back from Kimberly. The front-of-house was very friendly, good vibe in the restaurant/pub and the food was very good. One does have to realise it is a "vintage" hotel and if you would be so inclined, one could find fault everywhere. But I will definitely return again. The bedding was excellent and the bed massive! "Wifi doesn't work in the rooms, TV very small, pool not usable and restaurant closed. The reason I give it a decent rating is that the area is just a halfway point from Joburg to the coast, and it's completely reasonable for a one night stay to break up the drive. Nothing fancy, but everything you need, and close to the supermarket/bottle shop/restaurants."

"The rustic but luxurious hotel was amazing with nicely-sized room & bath. The patio was large & quiet. Common areas were spacious & food was excellent. The only complaint was the shower which was a continuous dribble of water rather than a stream."
