"The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well accommodated. They even carried out (incredibly heavy!!) suitcases upstairs for us. The food was incredible and there was so much variety. The only issue was the shower in our room which didn’t have temperature control and the screen was a bit broken. This wasn’t an issue for us as we were only there one night and the standalone bath was beautiful!! The rooms need a little updating but the space is incredible and the rooms...

"Okay , yes the floors creak and its a bit old but the management and staff are fabulous. The hotel has a very welcoming feel about it . The food and beverages were reasonable priced and the breakfast and the three dinners I had were excellent quality and very tasty. My room was very clean upon arrival , my bed sadly was very hard and uncomfortable but you don't go to such a scenic area to snooze it all away. I will definitely return.,"

"Tomintoul is a lovely little village in the highlands. The hosts are terrific, breakfast was lovely, and the bed was comfortable. We'd definitely go back!"

"Only stayed for three nights, but thought it was a lovely place. The room decor is very modern/contemporary, which is what I like. Bed and bedding was comfortable, but was only a small double bed, presumably because the room was quite small. We will stay again , but will book a bigger room next time."
