Glad we did as room was still compact but did what we needed for two nights. We were able to send a couple of our bags onto the next hotel using Black Cat. "Great hotel about a 6 minute walk from Nagano train station. You can hear the trains from the rooms on the side of the hotel facing the tracks, but it is very muffled. Tiny rooms like all Japanese hotels in the affordable range. But very functional, great staff with decent (for Japan) English. My room had a killer massage chair, love the place just for that. Extremely clean, good neighborhood and a great value for the price range. "

"First off, being right across the street from the station is a big plus in the dead of winter. This is a relatively small hotel with smallish rooms, but very capable overall.
