"Our hotel room was comfortable. It was low season during our stay and the hotel was near empty which made our stay very quiet and peaceful. The bed was firm and comfortable, but the in-room furnace was quite noisy and ran all the time (no automatic mode where it would shut down when the room was warm enough). The included breakfast was absolutely fantastic with awesome service! Would highly recommend this hotel."

"It was all good with the hospitality of the hosts and it is a beautiful home. but we got there after dark and in having to park behind the house where there is a long driveway to get to the front entry, it is not lite at all. This is an easy fix, but instead is a situation for an accident waiting to happen. That said, we would go there again, just need to be careful."

"Captain Thompson's resort is an outstanding resort. It has the best location of any in Alex Bay. It is within walking distance of everything. The view of the river and Bolt Castle in units on the main channel is second to none. The staff was very helpful and professional. The manager, Lisa, was exceptional! "Our favourite Canadian experience yet. A last minute booking as we started to get tired on our drive, the owners responded to our email promptly and gave us self check in instructions. The room was spotless and silent, shower amazing and the bed was our best nights sleep! The breakfast is just brilliant, we had been in Canada for 4 days and not had a single good breakfast so we were so grateful for such a wonderful fresh spread and wonderful hosts. We’ve already said we will definitely come...
