"A small seven unit property and we were the only ones there on the first night. I don’t know if it was the end of the season, but we had a limited hours of electricity, Wi-Fi, and schedule of meals. Dinner was at 8 PM and we were pretty hungry by then. It was hot in the late morning, and there was no electricity to turn on the fan. The buildings are outdated, and some need of repairs . "The Chombi House is the perfect place for a family or small group to have a relaxing retreat in the Peruvian jungle. Elmer is a very gracious host, and his family all participates in preparing and serving the meals in the common eating area. The bungalow is very comfortable and the pool is very welcome in the heat of the day. Elmer helped arrange taxis for our family both to and from the bungalow as it is too far from Puerto Maldonado to walk. Elmer has a pub on the yard where you can purchase...

"A comfortable and modern hotel. Whilst the staff spoke limited english they were lovely. The plaza was in walking distance but there was also lots of dining options nearby. The breakfast was fantastic and a nice inclusion. "

"Hotel was nice! Close to the river, convenient place. The service was great. However, the room was not good. Although we asked for non- smoking the room smelled like cigarettes. Also, it seemed the room was recently u der constructions and there were some things out of place. Tv was not working at first and it was replaced."

"This property only has 4 rooms with air conditioning, need to request this prior to check in. There are no landline phones in the guest rooms nor any television to be found. Nice and relaxing, great pool, excellent food and wonderful drinks. Staff is superb polyglot to include English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. Worth the stay and would return if my travels take me back to his city. "
