"Really beautiful haven in Mirissa, sitting right on the river and with a lovely pool. Sitting on the balcony, we saw monkeys, lizards, bats and a woodpecker. The furniture was all beautiful and they'd thought of everything, it was very comfortable and the AC was very powerful. The manager couldn't do enough to help, giving fantastic food recommendations, arranging free tuk tuks to get to town and welcoming us to use the pool after we'd checked out"

The room was a good size and very clean with little touches that make the stay nicer, toiletries, nice towels, air fresher, a little flower and mosquito repellant. "I left my heart in Talalla Retreat. Incredible staff who were so welcoming and hard working, the Retreat itself is stunning. I had an upstairs bedroom so was able to fully enjoy the surroundings. The food was incredible. I felt super safe. I didn’t want to leave. A must visit - and please do as the Sri Lankan people need visitors right now. "

When we finally got into the property the next day, a solid hardwood curtain rod fell on my partners head who was holding our kid. Very luckily only she was hurt. "We returned for our 4 day Mirissa trip and stayed at Central Beach. The hospitality, atmosphere and comfort was wonderful during our last stay and once again, met our expectations. The restaurant has really good food, variety, fresh seafood, and kind, helpful staff. This hotel has a beautiful beachside location, is a walkable distance to stores, restaurants, a doctor and gift shops. We are definitely going to be repeat visitors. "

"We were greeted with a cold hand towel and a juice - lovely. Easy check in. Room was huge and very clean. We had no hot water but when we told them about this they quickly fixed the problem. The swimming pool was pristine. The only problem with the pool is that it was quite exposed - no screen from the driveway. We got our laundry done - reasonable price by the kilo and fast return. The communication before arrival was good but the reception staff looked very worried if we asked for anything....
