"First room we was given smelt of cigarette smoke this was quickly changed after noting this to reception. Rooms are very basic and the hotel could use some updating in hall areas. Food/breakfast was plentifully! We arrived late for breakfast but they quickly fixed up a full English breakfast and allowed us to access the continental breakfast area. Staff were beyond amazing! Parking was easy and it's a short walk from the city centre. Basic and convenient. Lovely walk around the hotel."

"We have stayed here three times now. It is convenient for the city centre and the bedrooms are comfortable (not too hot, not too cold). And, was it just me or is the full English breakfast better this time than last? What's not to like?"

"Even though this property was tired, a bit old and not luxurious! The staff were excellent, the rooms were very clean, everything you needed was in the room, shower was small but powerful and hot, beds clean n comfy, furniture although old was not broken at all, breakfast was a good range of cereal, toast, jams, orange juice and hot drinks but free, WiFi was free, parking was free, and all for £48 booked it 2 days before!! Would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone. Well done...

"Buffet too much bread rolls. People in party, mostly over 70 yrs old. Not appropriate, foods, for clients that old. May be to ask organiser, age of party."

"I decided, very last minute, to use a hotel as we were celebrating a friend's birthday nearby. I had been given a room on the top floor, but there wasn't a lift and I have a knee problem, so I was swiftly swapped to a ground floor room. The room was excellent value for money. Even though the hotel is only rated 3*, it had an iron and ironing board, tea and coffee, a TV, a safe, free wi-fi, laundry service, and a gorgeously comfortable bed. It was also a nicely quiet room with an excellent level...
