"Nice, peaceful place. Clean with a nice enough room and mattresses, nice staff and nice breakfast. Didn’t like that on the day we arrived we were told that we couldn’t use the pool, jacuzzi and sauna from 1pm to 5pm and also the following day between 9am and midday because certain groups were using it. That’s 7 hours of no access to the pool and jacuzzi. 3 stars for this. "

I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone scared of spiders. There were spider webs in the bedroom and in the bathroom. We also found spiders in our room. "The hotel is very quaint and feels very typical of the area, although the rooms are basic when compared to the big chain hotels, they serve the purpose, the beds are comfortable and the water is hot. The food in the restaurant was of a fantastic quality and the portions were somewhat enormous, but it was nice to eat traditional foods, not the same as anywhere in the world. my only cause for dropping the star was the strange waste bag alongside the toilet which was not empty when I arrived and...

"Munkebo is a lovely place. However we are both in our mid seventies and have slight mobility issues and were offered a room on the first floor and there was no elevator so we had to carry our heavy suitcases upstairs ourselves. The receptionist was not very responsive when I asked if only upstairs was available but continued to just walk upstairs. "Such a cute and peaceful property. When I booked I only saw pics of the room, so I was pleasantly surprised to see how lovely the courtyard was. The outside of the building looks original and well maintained, while the inside looks like a brand new hotel room. I appreciated the games provided including giant chess, ladder golf, table tennis, air hockey, and table football. Note that linens are not included but can be rented; and check in is from 15:00 to 17:00; so plan accordingly. "

"A really nice hotel except they rent most of it out for weddings & then you are stuck listening to loud & annoying music until 2 a.m. in the morning. We didn’t sleep at all & for the cost this luxury hotel I didn’t expect this. If you are going to allow weddings then either rent the whole hotel to the wedding or warn other guests! I would not have stayed here had I known. Very little by way of breakfast or dinner (no vegan options)."
