"The hotel is dated which needs refurbishment. But the amenities offered were good. The Japanese style room we stayed was spacious which can fit in 7 futons. We had half board during our stay. The food served were amazing and looked beautiful which was beyond our imagination. Though the property itself offers only smoking rooms, we as non-smokers didn't find it a problem at all. And parking is free. We would definitely recommend it."

"The staff speak English or Mandarin hence communication was a breeze for me. They were very friendly, helpful and polite. The location of the ryokan is within walking distance to the town and close to the train station. Hotel provides a bus shuttle to the train station. From the train station to the hotel, there is also a complimentary ride. I had a very pleasant stay at the ryokan and highly recommend it. "

"If you see this review. Just book it if is within your budget. They take care of everything once you stepped into Gero station. Jus hopped into any Taxi waiting at the station and your retreat begins. We stepped into the inn and didnt think of going any where until our check out time. "

"I came to Gero on a recommendation from a close friend. I somehow missed it when I had done a previous Takayama trip and I am glad I came back. The town is very small and the hotel is easily walkable from the station, some people say 15 mins but it was more like 8-10 mins and that was while stopping to take pictures of the Hida river. Great location for the hotel, close to everything. The Onsen in this hotel alternate between male and female daily so you will have a chance to experience both...

"Absolutely beautiful area and hotel. There is free coffee in the lobby and free parking as well. There are convenience stores within 10 minutes of the hotel and the Onsen is amazing "

"Everything closes so early. Hotel beds too hard but decor in rooms very dated . this hotel was cleaner then the other Route Inns we stayed at for this trip. Free breakfast coupon was appreciated and breakfast delicious Staff amazing , polite and efficient. "
