"Beautiful Ryokan with very friendly and helpful service. We had a room with both tatami and western beds (raised off the ground) which worked very well for the elders in our group that weren't used to sleeping on the ground. No shower/bath in the room as the expectation is to use the public baths (or private family baths which are first come first serve basis). "I had a lovely stay! Staff was very kind and helpful. Hotel was conveniently situated very near train station. Breakfast was great. Room was perfect and very clean. First time to Beppu and this hotel helped make my trip wonderful. If I ever come to Beppu again would most definitely stay here again. Am happy to recommend. "

"What a relaxing stay! If you have a big tattoo that can’t be covered up, you cannot use the guest onsen. You can reserve a private onsen instead — request it when you check in. The yukata were comfortable and you can select the appropriate size for you. They also had face wash and face lotion in the room which was a nice surprise. The traditional breakfast and dinner were great: healthy and delicious. I wish we had stayed longer! "

"Very big room, got dining table, sofa, our biggest room in Japan. But no reception, it’s a self check in. No luggage storage before check in. Close to station which is very nice. Our room got washing machine, and bathroom got air drying system, so clothes will dry quickly."

"Compared to other APAs that we have visited, the room only had 2 pillows, and they were the least comfortable variety. Other APAs usually had 4 pillows, 2 more dense and compact, and 2 softer and lighter. Aside from that, very similar to other APAs."

"I liked that the location is away from the busy are, yet close enough. Good English support. We went up the hill and explored, which I would recomment if you want to get away from the crowd. Just a few good quality shops and art galleries, and restaurants up the hill."

"New, modern property. Has a washing machine and a shower/bathroom that also acts as a clothes dryer. Close to train station and supermarket. No lift for 2nd floor. Though we didnt have a car, there was one available space that was free."
