"We stayed for 2 nights in this wonderful apartment. It has the perfect location in a nice, quiet residential area that is walking distance to shops/dining and only a few steps to the beach! Host Steven was welcoming and super nice. The apartment was very spacious with great linens/bedding, a nice bathroom and the best shower! We had a nice seating area as well as a small balcony. "The place is peaceful and quiet with a serene yard/pool area. The rooms are lovely with seating area and private patio. It is about a mile outside of "town" but feels suburban. I think it's great for a couple or family with a car. As a solo traveler I didn't find it perfect as I was reliable on taxis but that is unique to my needs. The place is lovely."

"Scenic spot on nice waterfront. Good swimming and canoeing available free. Some cabins on steep steps with views, others easier access with limited views. Can walk across the sands at low tide but car needed for visiting Knysna to do anything else. Small café nearby for breakfast, 2/3 miles to bars and restaurants."

"A wonder surprise to return to a place that has grown into a fabulous stay experience! The Lion Suites are an incredible stay Visited here 10 years ago and did not realize where I was staying! Last minute reservation passing through, fabulous managers and staff and lions roaring to wake you! Great food, definitely bring your kids and take time for tours. "We have been following the instagram for a few months before we arrived to SA and were completely sold by the concept. Arriving to Barringtons was we were definitely not let down. We were checked in and taken to our deluxe room with a patio balcony looking down over the garden. The room was spacious, clean, and luxurious. We ate a late lunch at the bar with a few beers by the fire and returned later for some supper and a night cap. Wonderful place!"

"Nice hotel, friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable. It’s in at the top of the hill overlooking Knysna and not walkable. Not much in Knysa except the waterfront. It’s an overprice place for food and not much to see. The hotel was nice but I would stay in Plettenberg Bay instead. "
