"A perfectly lovely and a quiet retreat! Driving to the designated parking area inside the old city walls was a bit of a challenge with a large number of pedestrians here for New Year's holiday, but once at the hotel we didn't want to leave anyway! Very walkable to restaurants, attractions, shops. Most comfortable and relaxed we have been during our 2 week trip across northern Italia. 😀 "

"The hotel was close to the train station making arriving and departing easy. It was an easy walk to the port to get a ferry. The bus stop is close for using the bus. It had a lovely sitting area on the roof. The hotel was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. No gluten free on offer. "

"This was our second stay at Hotel al Sole and it was just as good as it was 3 years ago. The reception area had been renovated and modernised. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Although it's near a busy road the rooms are very quiet. Osteria Capitel is just across the road which is a great place for dinner."
