Just a couple minutes walk to the clock tower and the main markets, even if the few roads right around it are decidedly unlovely. "This feels like a harsh rating, after seeing so many high ratings, but I was pretty disappointed with my stay here. I visited many other Havelis in Jodhpur, to eat at their rooftop restaurants, and all of them were cleaner, had more staff working, and had other people staying there. "This is a characterful place to stay rather than an anonymous chain hotel. We stayed in a luxury room which was large and quiet. We ate there every night as the food was good and the view amazing. There were other restaurants within a short walk but it was nice not to have to walk out again after our busy days. Things to note Doors were low to rooms and en suites, my husband kept banging his head! There are also steep stairs and no lift so if you aren’t good on your feet it could be an issue....

"Our room was clean, our bed was comfortable but we were on the ground floor and it was very noisy as it’s the way in and out of the hotel. It is in a great position for walking around the old town. Breakfast was ok, eggs, toast, pancakes and fruit in the roof top restaurant with lovely view of the fort. Wi-fi wasn’t great kept dropping out. "This is a beautiful Haveli, which looks like a palace in a great location, just inside the city wall and very close to all the sights. However, the rooms themselves are very basic, very run down and not very clean. After they checked me in and gave me my room, they later told me I shouldn't be in an AC room and they would charge me extra. I refused, pointing out I was simply in the room they gave me.
