"A great jewel in Jodhpur that affords an affordable Heritage experience. The property is a former summer palace for Jodhpur Royalty. The suites are in the Lake Palace itself but we stayed in the more affordable 2 person rooms that apparently quartered soldiers in the past. "I stayed for two nights. Overpriced resort with unimpressive service. WIFI signal is weak. No room cleaning during the two nights. Breakfast was extremely limited and it took 10 minutes to get a cup of tea. Staff was not helpful, they seemed to be more interested to serve wedding party guests. This resort was more expensive then Indana Palace in Jodhpur, but the latter is 10 times better including much better staff and much better rooms. Stay away from this resort."

" Wonderful havellie. Very authentic and in the gullies. Only rickshaw can get there. The hotel staff were super friendly not pushy and very helpful. Being an old havellie a few niggling bits. "This property is right in the market area and yet quiet and calm. A variety of birds fly around the roof during breakfast with fort as a backdrop and violet temple in the foreground— kinda dreamy. We were in the temple room with old paintings on one wall. I think the dust rolling in from the street is a constant. Very convenient for shopping and getting tuktuk."

"Extremely pleased to stay at Five Elements Jodhpur . The hotel is extremely clean everywhere. The room was sound proof. Vegetarian food served at restaurant is freshly prepared and of superb quality. Every staff I came across was polite and helpful . Little increase in the water pressure in the bathroom is desired, but not essential.Only one shortcoming I could find after deep inspection is missing by of peep holes on room doors. 😊"

But the staff lack in basic courtesy and simple rules of hospitality such as - do not call a guest on their room’s phone at 11pm just to ask what time will they check out the next day. Seriously, do not call a guest at 11pm unless there is a life threatening emergency. Asking them their check out time is not an emergency. "

"Hotel said that they didn't have any reservation for me from Orbitz. It was a shock as I was with a small kid and no room. I paid again and got 1 room for 1 night and had to move to a different hotel for the rest of my stay. The Bijolai has mosquitoes, stinky bathrooms, less than average food and spotty wifi only in the garden area. Personally, there are much better places for the price. "
