"The quirkiness of this old building is fantastic and although it was a very small room it served its purpose. The only reason for just four stars is the AC will not go lower than 22 Celsius which is not suitable for sleeping. Luckily you can open a window but then you have noise and smoking scent from outside. My room had neighboring balconies very close to the window (which could not be locked in a non-entry position)."

The mattress, however, urgently needs replacing as it has a large hollow at hip level from overuse. The bathroom was small but functional. Be aware, though, that the shower is very small and if you are larger than average you probably won’t have a particularly enjoyable shower. "

"The price was reasonable, lot's of parking, service was good, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent."

"Although the rooms are fairly small, they are comfortable. The noise from the street is very loud and persistent all night long so wear ear plugs if you get a room streetside. The breakfast was lovely with excellent cappuccino & espresso and a nice selection of meats and pastries. It is very close to the San Giovanni train station which is a plus. The staff was super friendly and helpful."
