"The hotel is lovely, in a traditional courtyard-style house. It is beside the north gate, just inside the ancient town, so the location is great. Alice was fantastic, collected us from the train station and gave us lots of tips on places to visit and eat. We had a great two-night stay, highly recommended!"

"We got here via overnight sleeper train from Xi'an. This hotel has an outdoor courtyard typical of the ancient homes, with charming decor. The hotel restaurant was good, as were some others nearby. It is located on a main shopping street, not far from the South and Central towers/gates. We couldn't stop buying souvenirs! "Overall good experience in the middle of old town. The hotel is very close to some major sights with plenty of restaurants around. There is also a shop at the corner that sells the most delicious cookies! It was easy to plan for day trips with driver. Hotel room was beautiful but a bit small when you have 2 big luggages with you. Staff were friendly and responsive to requests."
