"The reception staff were helpful, making our check-in process easy. The room was of a good standard, except the headboards showed some signs of damage/wear and tear, and clearly needed replacing. When we mentioned this to reception staff later, we were told that the hotel was in the process of replacing all of the headboards, and our room was due to be done soon. The buffet style breakfast was excellent. Lots of variety, catering for all tastes and dietary requirements. "

The shower worked well but took several minutes for the hot to come through but once it did it had great pressure and temperature. "We loved Banchory and the hotel was perfectly located for walking the town. Lots of independent shops and food choices. Only one night there but would stay there again."

"Really pleased with the room, only 2 things were needing fixed. The toilet light flickered and bulb needs changed as showering in a strobe light is not great. Also I could not get the shower to get hot water on 2nd morning perhaps a clear procedure of how to operate the shower would help. Was not ideal at sub zero water temps this morning but I’m sure it would not take too much to make it easier to follow."

"Lovely hotel, very clean, staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was a really good size with the surprise of a kitchenette in there too which was very handy for us. Lovely little welcome pack which was replenished each day. Bed was comfortable and although the hotel is on a main road it was quiet and we slept so well. Breakfast was nice (continental) but we would have liked a cooked breakfast, on saying that though there was plenty to eat. Also we did not find out the bar was not open...
