"The lodge is set in a very scenic setting next to Lock Aboyne and woodlands which you can walk around. The property itself owned and run by a lovely couple who pretty much seem to do everything themselves. The decor is dated and old fashioned but if you like golf this is a great option as the course setting is fabulous …it’s a 9 hole set over a huge expanse with inclines and some difficult hazards. "We had a wonderful few days despite mixed weather. The cottage is very well equipped, cosy yet spacious with lovely bright bedrooms upstairs, the owners were kind and helpful and the location is lovely, great walks along the river and lovely open outlook. We hope to return soon!"
