"Hotel room was clean, welcoming and well presented. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary chocolate and coffee was appreciated. Only down side is the window in the bedroom wouldn't close fully, and so it was creaking in the wend all night long, but was only an issue on the second night which was particularly windy."

"This was a cute little hotel. More like a guest house over a restaurant. The room was lovely and the bathroom decent and clean. There is a shared kitchenette and small lounge area on each floor for guests. The guesthouse is above a cute restaurant with delicious food, and in the main area of Akureyri, so it was very walkable to other restaurants and shops. Parking was easy across the street from the hotel as well and staff were friendly and efficient. "

"We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. It is not far from the parking, or the main building, but he just gave us the keys and pointed outside, rather than just take the 5...

"We were in room 26, which is essentially a tucked away building with doors on each end, and doors inside on each side of the hallway. The walls were very thin and you could hear everything in the hallway, but somehow the (very small) rooms seemed quiet when inside - so a false sense of privacy. There's nothing really wrong with this accomodation, and I appreciated the check in process literally just being that you receive a message with your door code and entering in a blank code behind you when...

"Overall it was a good, cheap stay for a night. It's not very far from all the restaurants and bars, but it is also at the top of a fairly large hill. The facilities were nice enough. Though the tv in my room was flickering. I'd recommend if you just need a place to stay for a night or two. "
