"Super convenient location across Leeuwarden train station. It is a small boutique style hotel. I loved the Nespresso machine and the daily capsules complimentary refill, also nice emptied mini-fridge for use and kettle. Room was large and very clean. My room had an outdoor terrace but the view are not nice as they overlook vents and tubes from the restaurant next door. Heating worked perfectly fine. "

"I really enjoyed my two night stay at this hostel. The team at reception were really helpful and friendly. The place opened in August 2024 to at least 4* hotel level. Great cafe and bar on ground floor. The location is very central in the old town and directly opposite Vets concert venue. "Cute hotel. Very clean. We enjoyed the location ; not in the market but just a short walk and very quiet. 10minute walk to train station. Cute lobby with a small bar. Crisp white linen, nice bathroom with tub. Staff was very friendly. Coffee machine in lobby so you can enjoy coffee or cappuccino 24 hours. Didn’t eat at the restaurant as we wondered out if the hotel in the morning. Would definitely book again! "

"Fantastic service in the hotel and at the restaurant. Herr Otten at reception and Herr Krajnic in the restaurant provided five-star treatment. We received an upgrade to a wonderful junior suite with wooden floors and a huge terrace overlooking the front of the hotel with a great view of the town. We spent five wonderfully relaxing days and would come back anytime!"

"Great location in a very compact city. The hotel is in two repurposed historic buildings, a bank and a spectacular post office. Super-friendly and engaging staff. After more than 230 trips to Europe, I know quality hotels there, and the Post Plaza is in the top ranks. "

Characteristic Commandeur house on Ameland (Nes). In the background the village tower of Nes, Valerius (Watse) Frans van Cammingha and Rixt van Donia, lord and lady of Ameland instructed to build this tower in 1664. It served as a beacon for ships at sea.

Adequate for Hikers, and a Decent Restaurant

"We stayed here before starting our hike on The Pieterpad, as it is right across the street. The room was sparse, but clean. The lighting was extremely dim - I could not read my book! The bedside lamps had yellow bulbs in them, and the ceiling fixture was also dim. The food in the adjoining cafe was good, and breakfast had everything we wanted."

"I enjoyed my stay very much, the staff of the hotel made my stay very enjoyable. Easy to communicate and super friendly! Only thing that was tough was the hotel did not offer any face towels, or wash rags. They only had a a bath towel and what I assumed was a floor mat towel. But outside of that the stay was perfect! Would definitely stay in this hotel again "
