"This hotel looks rather old from the outside, the reception area is in a 80's style, but this impression stops there. The rooms are newly refurbished and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant is very good and the breakfast is also very satisfactory. One of the best value for money I came accross in the last few years. "The staff was superb. We, having been in France for 3 weeks prior to our arrival had quite a bit of laundry. The staff, took care of this for us at our arrival and we received our clean folded clothes the next day. Nothing beats this location as the rear of the hotel puts you right in the center of a pedestrian street lined on all sides with cafes and restaurants as well as the entry to the Chateau Amboise. "Every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Suggestions for dinner were perfect. Breakfast, 9.5 euros, was outstanding. A large buffet of fresh choices. Excellent coffee. The hotel is an easy walk to the Château, the river, shops, and dining. Nearby local restaurants were excellent and reasonably priced. We will be back. Highly recommended. "
