"The LBV hotel is an absolutely beautiful property. However, it is a VERY steep climb up to it from Pinhao. Unless you have a car (which is challenging to drive in this area) or want to pay for a taxi to get to a restaurant it is not convenient. I averaged 10 miles a day travelling in Europe and this climb was A LOT. I think this is the norm for the area. Hotel was a GREAT bargain but challenging to get to."

The guesthouse has been renovated to perfection (you can tell love went into every detail), located in an absolutely stunning and peaceful area. The family who owns and runs this property is amazing. "We had a great time and enjoyed the swimming pool. There were few residents and it was very quiet. One member of staff stood out as being excellent and speaking English, we believe his name is Marco or Mario. This hotel could be so much more popular if it were to focus on a specific market. The decor is 50's period but this could add to its charm. It has all the facilities you could want, but would be difficult for disabled people."
