"Nice mountain resort hotel with a view of the lake. Check in was easy and room was large. We had half board - food was good but probably due to communication problem, we were not served Japanese-style dinner like the local tourists. However breakfast was Japanese. "When is a resort not a resort? In this case, when it doesn't provide any facilities outside the room. There's a rooftop bar in summer but nothing at other times. Staff were pleasant but breakfast was limited and when we asked for a second cup of coffee we had to pay for it. The room is large but was taken up by 4 double futons and a massive hanging screen for projecting TV/video. We felt it was intended for a large group who wanted to watch DVDs all day.
