"My favorite lodge during my 3 wk Tanzania trip. 3-day stay to unwind after Kili climb and safari. Loved it! Very personalable and local vibe; not touristy or pretentious. Central and quiet location <1 hr from airport makes a great home base for safaris, Arusha Natl Park, or Kilimanjaro climb. Comfortable, clean, rooms, though I spent most of my time relaxing outdoors on the grounds, where there were plenty of spots to read, write, and watch the animals in the nearby "watering hole". "Yes there is a bumpy 15 minute ride from the main road but the pay off is a tranquil environment to relax at Kili Villa. Our room had a lovely outlook to the gardens where local fauna and birds did their thing. The staff were welcoming and courteous, and the food was delicious. Perhaps the experience could have been improved with better communication about food and drink options when we arrived (with an explanation card). There are no other options for F&B in the area (aside from the golf club)...

"Property description said mall area, not true. This area is more of a truck and rest stop. Nothing nearby. Impossible to get taxi at night. Room was clean and large. People were very nice and staff extremely willing to meet any requests although language was a barrier. "

"Peaceful spot just outside Arusha, with lots of monkeys hanging around outside to watch as you chill with a drink. The pool was lovely and the whole place has a premium feel with great service. Would definitely come back - this was the perfect start to my safari hol as a solo 30yo female traveller :)"
