"We had an amazing stay. As a regular traveller I have stayed in many resorts, hotels and holiday rentals Kurulu Estate is top notch and one of the most tranquil and relaxing places I have stayed. It is very secluded, with only two rooms on the property. It is in the jungle overlooking the mountains. This place really is a treasure. The whole time my husband kept asking me, "how did you find this place?" We were upgraded to the "best room". The design of the room was gorgeous, service was amazing...

"Dirty beds, bedsheets and bathroom. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody. Bathroom was leaking and dirty with spiders and spiderwebs. Room is like a jail, no windows. It was a horrible experience. I advise travellers to stay at Hatton and travel to Nallandeniya on time to clime Adam's peak."

Food varied according to chef from superb (We had one of the best meals of our trip here) to slightly disappointing, food cool, sandwiches a bit curly. Handy location for Ratnapura and its busy gem dealers. Wifi fine, though no pool. Photos of activities slightly naughty as they are not on site or within walking distance. We had a very pleasant stay here."

"There is a lot to like about the Slightly Chilled Yellow House. The staff was excellent - very knowledgeable and eager to accommodate any request. Breakfasts were very good and plentiful. The location is great - just 500m to the start of the Adam’s Peak trail. And there are other walks through tea plantations right out the door. The room was generally fine, though felt a bit tired - not run down, just not crisp. It also smelled musty."
