A roaring log fire and honesty bar for drinks and snacks. The views are spectacular and although in a quiet location, within easy reach of the shops. "

"We enjoyed our stay. We had a room in the Annex. It was a disabled access room which we do not need with a very small sink which was not fit for purpose for us. No mirror in the bedroom. Blinds unfortunately let the street lighting in. We were only there for a couple of nights if it had been longer we would have requested to move. "

"Don’t let the colour of outside put you off inside is like a 5 star hotel from the moment you walk through the door every thing has been redecorated to the highest standard and quality we have stayed in a lot of hotels and this is one of the best ever . "Nice cosy and friendly hotel with pub, good breakfast, attentive staff, allows dogs hence we stayed there. Only two negatives…small very firm double bed not king size, and pub/restaurant didn’t serve food until 18:30 in the evenings."
