"From prior to arrival, arrival to departure, their service has been excellent! It was easy to communicate with them in English on flight arrival, your resort communicates with Starry Beach and they will give you a wake up call and also arrange the transportation back to the airport for your seaplane check-in. The room is clean, shower is a wet bathroom which is common in Asia. Service is top-notch and they will help you as much as they can! If I am to stay in Male, I will go back to this property!"

"So on arrival we were forced to stay next door to this hotel as its owned by the same owner. On approach to the room: - pile of hair with a cotton bud in it The room HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED: - Human hair all over floor - dirt & dust in glasses (manager started using a dirty tissue to wipe it with - as im sure that would help) - stains all over sheets & pillows. (Apparently its how they dry them on rusty apparatus) - human hair on sheets - bathroom was dirty - soap dispenser empty - shower gel dispenser empty - black rust came out of both dispensers when pressed - asked for clean ben linen - has to wait for a manager to approve - told didnt need it - manager approved it That was room 1 The door to the toilet locked so we had to change rooms Room 2 Human hair all over floor - dirt & dust in glasses (manager started using a dirty tissue to wipe it with - as im sure that would help) - stains all over sheets & pillows. And a deep clean throughout AC worked at least"

"We didnt really enjoy staying at this hotel at all. We felt like an inconvenience to the staff. There was no ambience at all - you feel like you are walking into an abandoned room. Simple changes would really lift this hotel - - staff that smile, laugh & are happy. - Our room needed a deep clean - there was mould growing on the bathroom glass. - Some minor repairs & maintenance to doors. - at least add some flowers to the tables or placemats & play some soft music so people feel welcome Its not a bad hotel - it just needs some love. "
