"The staff were extremely polite and helpful, the rooms were clean and well maintained. Every morning we saw them cleaning the pool, hot tub and grills. They cleaned rooms after checkout and offer a complimentary stay at their nearby sister location for late flights like ours. If given the opportunity I would stay here again! "

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent 10 glorious days at Hale Kai in units 214 and 215. They are in a perfect location for all manner of Maui activities. Great sidewalks for walking. Easy to get to the stores and restaurants and best part was it was whale watching season....

"The property was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. I do think the condo needs a little upgrade to bring it into 2021. Fixture and furniture was older and the living room twin bed was not comfortable. Patio was so cute and very secluded with large beautiful trees. "

"The condo itself has not been upgraded for what appears to be 30 years. Laziness. The Papakea resort itself is very nice. Beautiful landscaping, tennis courts good, nice grass area along the shoreline, and potential surfing right there. No excuse to not make some upgrades to the condo. "
