"This hotel says it is 4 star hotel. I would definitely not agree. The location is beautiful nature area near the water but the property is in serious need of attention. The immense amount of cobwebs in the pergola covered walking areas and dead vegetation in the gardens was frankly depressing and creepy. The carpet was in need of replacement 20 years ago easily. No A/C in Denmark is normal but what I don't understand is, if you KNOW everyone will have to open the windows, why wouldn't they have...

"The host and hostess were top notch. Very friendly and accommodating. It wasn’t a traditional hotel with a regular dining area but it had a fully stocked kitchen area and access to refrigerators. You could purchase your own groceries and cook yourself or pay a little fee and use the supplied groceries. A little different from what I was used to but it was in a good way. There were some pretty reasonable restaurants and in the area as well. I would stay again if work brought me to the area. "

"Well situated near shops, restaurants and supermarkets The hotel was being renovated, which is why it left 3-4 stars. The room was fine., vegan breakfast items were available. Staff friendly and helpful. I would stay here again"

"We very much enjoyed the use of the kitchen, stocked with knifes, cutlery, pots and pans, cups, glasses, cutting boards, oven, microwave, cook top, coffee maker, fridge and freezer….to name a few! Tables and chairs and also some additional food needs were available. We also appreciated the containers for empty bottles, so as to have them recycled! It was mostly clean and someone came regularly to empty the recycling and clean up after those who don’t…smile. I am a tidy and clean freak so I did...

"This place is fascinating. If you're looking for a stay in a modern luxury resort this is not for you. If you want a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with the sense of old danish 'country nobility' in the lower end, you really shouldn't pass on this opportunity. It's not overwhelming. It's just the right amount."

Had some trouble finding it in the dark and were worried about missing check-in time (our fault for not having read the instructions carefully enough) but managed in the end. Unstable wifi but were prepared based on previous guest reviews. Excellent place to be if many want to plan a gathering. Would definitely stay there again. Thank-you!"
