"We stayed here 30 years ago and it was great to be back in beautiful Paarl. New owners are very friendly and so helpful... their little doggie snowy so sweet. "Beautiful setting in a beautiful town! The hotel is within 20 min walk along shaded, quiet streets to excellent dining and shopping in the town center, right in the university district. "We stayed in a luxury 4 sleeper unit, which was nice, with all the basic cutlery, crockery in a house you could possibly need, spacious with a much needed aircon, there was staff who came to clean the unit each day. The only thing i wished they refilled for us was the dish washing liquid and left us with a dish cloth to dry our daily dishes. The couches in the lounge was really hard to sleep on and uncomfortable, not really suited for elderly adults."

A voucher, or some Rand, to use at a local cafe would have been sufficient. "

"We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation....
