Only issue was the bathroom smelt of cat wee. Since we didn't get back till late no one on reception to sort it out. Pity as I would have given the hotel a higher score. "

"The Hogs Head Inn was a great place to stay to explore Northumberland, with convenient bus and train connections to the beach and historic sites. Staff were very helpful, the breakfast was ample and delicious as were dinner selections. I will seriously consider related hotels when returning to the UK. "

"Staff were really friendly but there was no property owned parking so had to park across the road in a public car park. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality linen. We were given a special access room on the ground floor but we were looking forward to a bath in the room which is what I thought we had booked but not a major issue but if you are booking you may want to make them aware if you want a bath rather than wet room. "

"One of a kind . A quirky re-purposed farm with lovely courtyard and garden features. Clean and comfortable. Access to the property is directly from the fast and busy A1 dual carriageway making every arrival and departure feel somewhat edgy."

Room was clean, bed comfy, bathroom clean and power shower worked great. Manager didn't speak great English, but once we got chatting, he turned out to be a really nice guy. "

"This is a newbuild property at the back of town but that said it's a big site, plenty of parking, big rooms and plenty of space. The rooms are in a fantastic condition and the staff were extremely friendly. We ate both evening meal and breakfast there and the food was good and reasonably priced. Hotel breakfast differs from their advertised breakfast but is still good. The place clearly runs as a restaurant to locals too.
