"We really loved this hotel. Perfect location and historic charm. The complimentary breakfast was lovely and the staff helpful. We had a room on the top floor with canal view which was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small as in the eaves so tricky for my 6ft 6 husband and no shower to stand in. We'd definitely return to this hotel "

"Nice old place, our room was at the top floor and the place didn’t have an elevator, that’s why I don’t give it 5 stars. Room was nice, clean and big for a triple. Hotel is located close to all attractions and restaurants. We were wandering until very late at night and felt super safe all the time. Didn’t try the breakfast, only the coffee and drank it in a nice terrace the hotel has in the back."

"The Upstairs hotel was a very stylish and fun hotel just steps from the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful! One small point is if you do book one of the small/cheap rooms, they aren't easily accessible via the lifts. You will need to go down a couple of flights of stairs which can be tough with heavy luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ostend!"
