"Great property right on the beach , in comparison the prices in the hotel / restaurant are higher ( which is to be expected) . Staff was lovely , the hotel could do with some small updates / upgrades. Location is very good, under 10 mins to walk into town. Great place if you are looking for something that not in overcrowded part of Sri Lanka "

"Overall stay was good. However, the bathrooms are visible inside the room. Not recommended for a family to stay inside the room. I kindly suggest to put up curtains or a blurred glass to have privacy. Also, the balconies are connected to each room with a sliding door which is kind of unnecessary i feel. If it can be locked then it's manageable. But in our case the sliding doors could not be locked. The breakfast was superb. Had plenty of varieties. For lunch we had nasi goreng and it was...

"Really nice and clean room but everything else where terrible, dirty and very old. The staff was laying in the few chairs and there were no place else to sit, not even in the small garden. We wantet a quiet vaccation but it was noicy from the mainstreet in front. We decided to leave again after 2 nights even we already paid for more."

"Didn't know what to expect when we booked way back 6 or 7mths ago. It's a shame we only had 2 nights... could easily spend longer. Hotel, is clean and spacious with staff very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. "Nice small hotel close to the beach, town and bars etc. Nice pool and bar area and food is good (we had to pay extra for breakfast). Ideal for a short break, the hotel arranged turtle swimming for us and can organise many other trips, also Spa on site. We had travelled from Tissa and first impressions here was that Marissa was very touristy and the route to the “secret beach” is a rubbish strewn dirt track, however once we settled in, we enjoyed the area."

"We got the super deluxe room. It was the best spot. Room 10. Ground floor overlooking the ocean. But the AC didn't work so it was sticky and damp. We had difficulties checking in and out. They seemed to have no idea. The bar if it was open never had what you want. Like cold beer. Breakfast was included but really quite poor. Great location at the end of the beach. We had good food and cold beers at plenty of places up the beach. I think next door at Seabreeze Surf Hotel be a better place...
