"The pictures that are used for single rooms at Emerald House don't do them justice. The room I had contained a mini-fridge, kettle, hairdryer, sink and enough encroutements for both cleaning and drinking and a small TV on an extendable arm, allowing for some background noise whilst chilling. Location wise I needed something close to both the city centre and also the university and this met both needs. There are bus stops on either side of the road quite nearby and these are great to get...

"A country home feel with hotel style rooms make this a peaceful stay. Off the beaten track but within a short drive to some alternative restaurants make this a decent overnight option. We selected this so we could visit York and yet be ‘in the country’. Room was basic but comfy. One note. Many doors around give access to the car park - but they are only marked emergency exit and you have to walk in / out of the main doors. Inconvenient with luggage. "

"My husband and I used the hotel as a base to explore the area. It was perfect. The building is immaculate. The welcome at reception was warm and very helpful. All of the staff we spoke to were friendly, seemed happy and were very accommodating. The food in Tykes was very good. Fresh milk in the fridge in the room - perfect. Easy parking in a large car park. Absolutely lovely place to stay and we hope to again. "

"We've just had a three day break this weekend gone and it was our first time staying at the Yorkway Motel and was pleasantly surprised by how lovely it looked on arrival the grounds and the properties all looked well maintained,our room was absolutely spotless comfy bed too,staff where so friendly on arrival in the reception and in the dining area you automatically felt at ease such a relaxing atmosphere,food was great too.If i could give Yorkway Motel 10 stars i would and would definitely stay...
