"DO NOT BOOK this hotel if you intend to use public transport. There are vast amounts of roadworks in the area surrounding the hotel. The nearest bus stop is 20 minutes walk away (and we walk quite quickly!) The walk walk wasn't safe either, as we had to walk on the road in part. Also, on return at night we had to walk on a long path, through a dimly iit park. On check in, the receptionist flippantly advised that we should use taxis (we didnt budget for this added expense!) "Well located Hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Bathrooms well appointed, rooms a bit dated but definitely characterful. Overall a good choice if you want a city centre hotel, only a few minutes walk from the Railway station. "

"Room was a decent size, comfortable and had a pleasant view. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was also good with a wide variety of food. We did ask for a quiet room if possible and unfortunately it turned out to be the opposite. Right next to the lift. Lots of noise also coming from the room above that did disrupt our sleep."
